I just purchased the FZ with these configuration

    Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz
    2Gb Ram
Intel 965 Express Chipset - Intergrated graphics card

When playing Counter Strike and set at Open GL 640x480. It actually runs at 640x480 out of 1200x800 screen, which is very small area. Does anyone knows how to config it to fit the whole screen ??

I tried to set my desktop at 640x480 but it still not the whole screen.

Please help me, Thank you very much.

There should be an option in your counter-strike video options menu to display in full screen or in a window or something like that. Make sure you are not displaying in a window.

Your bigger problem should be that your integrated graphics chip really can't handle CS though. Unless you're playing the super old CS and not CS:Source.

    Thanks Transfer

I'm not playing counter source but the old one, I uncheck the box "playing in window" but still

I tried to set the resolution to 640x480 on the desktop and everything shrink down to small size instead of the low resolution on whole screen. I've been trying around too like try to install the new driver but the driver on intel.com didn't work, don't know why

I worked on a friend's Dell recently and it had the same problem when I got it. I discovered a setting in the BIOS that changed it back. I believe it was in a battery saver category, but I can't recall exactly... it's been a month or so since I had the Dell. Take a look through the FZ BIOS and see if there is anything about full/half screen or resolution or something to that affect. I'd look for you, but my FZ is still in the mail system somewhere...

Let the Windows resolution at 1200...
Change only the CS resolution at 640, it should run in full screen...

This behavior is somewhat normal, Crysis in 1280 displayed as a lil box on my 20" too. U have to activate panel upscaling, at least thats what the options called in the catalyst control center. U might wanna look for something similar in ur Intel Grafics Menu(if there is such a thing). In the case of ATI or NVIDIA u find it by rightclicking desktop >> Settings >> Advanced ( or something similar just have german XP here).
    Or just google it.

this also happened to me a few days ago when playing Warcraft3 on my SZ's stamina mode (Intel GMA X3100 Graphics card). So, here is the solution :) :

    1. right click --> personalization --> display settings --> advanced settings

    2. Click on the "Intel (R) Graphics Media Accelerator Driver for Mobile" tab (if you can't find it,it's on the top)

    3. then click on graphics properties

    4. Select "Display Settings" tab (left side of the window)

    5. Click on "Aspect Ratio Options"

    6. Select "Full Screen (No Border)"

    7. Click on "OK" after you have selected that option, and then click "OK" for all the other windows.

    8. You are done, enjoy Counter Strike :) Full Screen.

Hope that helps, have fun playing

This first pic was the Intel Control Panel, not many options

I went to Intel website and try to install the driver ( screenshot attached ) and the INF Utilities too but none of them seems to work, I got the message the driver was not validated for the card

It does seems like you are missing that option. There are a few things you can try at this point:
    1. log on as Administrator and try the same procedure again.
    2. If that fails, try to install this driver from the Intel website http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...dows Vista* Ultimate, 32-bit version&lang=eng

After installation, see if you have "Aspect Ratio Options"

    Good luck.

I've attached screen shots of what I have and my driver version detail.

Zolek, why don't you just play at maximum resolution? It's not like the x3100 can't handle CS.

It can handle but it lags, sometimes it freeze, too. When I connect, sometimes when it comes to "veryfying resources" it would freeze, and I have to play around with the settings in CS, to be in particular, I would choose switching between 16bit and 32bit, and it'll work

    icedemon,

That page was the one I downloaded from Intel but when install it said unvaildated and said check with manufacturer, probaly Sony did modify it somehow, anyways, thank you very much for your effort.
