    Hi guys,
This is my first post here,
My dad bought a Sony SZ18 when it originally came out three or four years ago and ever since has been very happy.
About 3-4 months ago he got a new replacement battery for the computer as its original battery (in the end) lasted about 10 minutes which wasn't very good. He then bought a new battery and has been using this since.
It was good up to about last week when the battery started having the same problem as the old battery.
He didn't want to have to buy another battery,he didn't want to buy a new computer because the new core i series architecture is coming out and wants to buy a computer with that.

Is there anyway to fix this terrible battery life problem?

    Thanks
    Tom

Did your dad buy a genuine Sony battery? Some non oem batteries are not reliable.

No he didn't, i was just wondering if there was anything else that he could do to fix the problem apart from getting a new battery.

Maybe if its still under warranty he could exchange it? Otherwise, I think he needs a new battery.

Using a third-party made battery may cause serious explosions, which is very dangerous!
