Here my problem: My laptop boots up just like it did when it was new except now the LCD is a reddish color and very dim. After it has been on for about 3 to 6 minutes it starts to flicker and then goes dark. I can attach an external monitor and that work just fine. Now the question is it my inverter or the backlight going bad? Please help??

Red means the backlight is going/gone.
Its like a floresent light graduly going dim until it dies.
    I'm sorry for you
