I went to power on my VGN-FS550 about an hour ago and I get nothing on the screen. The 3 lights above the keyboard light up and come on (and never go out), I can hear the sounds of it turning on like normal along with the power light. And all 3 lights (power, battery, HDD and WLAN) all come on. But then.....nothing. I have tried everything that I can think of but nothing seems to bring it on. If I insert a disc into the dvd-rom I can hear it power up and spin though. So it seems that the computer itself is working fine, just nothing on the monitor. Could there be some sort of problem with the HDD that would cause this? I've noticed that the light for it illuminates for a brief second but then goes out and stays out. Sorry for such a long winded post. Please help if you can! And thanks for any comments and help offered.
