My S150 is barely 4 mos old and now the video seems to be crapping out. I keep getting an error message about the ATI Driver and then the screen goes awry and reboots.
I've tried a reinstall with the recovery software, problem still occurs. I then did a clean XP Pro install, grabbed the drivers of the sony support site and still the same issue, something with the ATI Driver. If I don't install the ATI driver, it works fine but the screen of course is tiny. As soon as I install the ATI driver, after awhile the same thing happens. What do I do!!!!!

I would get warranty service on it.

Hi.
Just want to let you know you're not the only one with this problem. I tried many things, and nothing worked. It started happening about two months after I got my notebook. I got that error message as well, and my notebook would not start a number of times, pretty much everyday. Also, random rebooting occurred.
Finally I sent it in to be serviced, and it's been almost three weeks now and I still havn't got it back! It's really frustrating that this could be happening! I'll let you know how things go. Hopefully it all works out!!!

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that the problem had something to do with Intel. Sony wasn't too specific, but that was what my sales associate told me. So they ordered parts for my laptop, but they're on backorder until next year! Lucky for me, they upgraded me to a new S-260!!! I have it now, and am loving it! Hopefully no more problems!
But anyways, send yours in, and see what happens! Good luck, and let me know!
Lara
