I have a busted SZ non premium screen and need a replacement. What do you guys think?, I can get the same SHARP lcd replacement for a cheap $250 OR I can upgrade (if it works) to the LED sz sreen that's $435 at sony, but then I would also have to buy the screen bezel and the outer carbon casing assuming that there is nothing else that needs to be replaced. So that would total up to about $700 all together for upgrades. What do you guys think? By the way this would just then make my SZ the premium version by doing this.

I think that depends on your or whoever you get to do the upgrade, ability to do it. In theory the changing of parts to swap in the LED (premium) screen shouldn't be that hard.

Personally I'm not sure if its worth it, from $250 to $700 to get that type of change. (But of course the difference in price of a standard vs premium SZ is around there too.) I guess it comes down to, if you know you can do the change and if its worth it to you or not.

THanks for the input. yeah thought I'd give it a second look since I got the sz for a very cheap price and thought it was worth it. I really like the grey metallic look of the premium but there would be too much parts to get. The carbon fiber screenbacking, then the screen bezel, then if I want to get the grey look i would need the palmrest, the speaker grille, then the 2 sides. so it's like a total of 7 parts compared to 1.
