    Hi,
It looks like I can spec out the Vaio SR 130NB and the 190 to pretty much the same specs for the same price on Portable One - what's the difference?

    I MEANT THE 130NB.

Looking at the specs, the 130 comes with 2GB ram by default and has a larger harddrive. The 190 has Vista business with XP pro downgrade, 130 has vista home premium

Yeah I would probably order from newegg myself, dont forget theres also a coupon code for $30 off the SR at newegg. however P1 does offer a little bit more flexibility. Also newegg only has the P8400 option and doesnt have XP downgrade.

And then there's no difference if I CONFIGURE them to be the same, right?

I think if you configure the 190 to have the same specs as the 130 (add 1gig of ram and upgrade to 250gb harddrive), its a little more expensive. Dont know why. The specs should otherwise be the same, just the price is different

I went with the 190 because I didn't need a big hard drive and I wanted Vista Business - it ended up coming out to a better price for me.
