Hi, I was just wondering if this laptops come only cleaned or with a new cleaned recovery partition too? I mean after a clean install from recovery partiton, will the bloatware be here or not? Thank you.

if its clean then it means the laptop has been "cleaned" up of all bloatware.

I understand that, but is the recovery partition cleaned too, allowing to make clean fresh installs?

I don't think so, you get separate disks to use.

When requested, Portable one will remove the bloatware from your computer before shipping. The recovery partition, on the computer, is removed to free up disc space, with a recovery dvd supplied instead.

Oh Ok I see, then instead of making all that noise with post like howto clean install and such, why wouldnt someone just upload the DVD he got from P1?
I think that there is nothing illegal, because all Vaio owners have a license for Windows...

Because it is their hardwork and it is a competitive advantage they have when you buy from them instead of other places.

Hence, they should get paid for it.

I used PortableOne downgrade from Vista to XP Pro on my new TZ and all I can say is awesome! No useless stuff and the machine is lightining fast. Installation could not have been easier.
You do need your own registration code valid for XP Pro for it to load. Believe you can buy this online from Microsoft as you register the unit. I had one on my old TX laptop I used as it became obsolote.
    PortableOnce rocks!

The cost was $25.00 for the recovery dvds, which included shipping.

Hi thanks for the info, i check P1's site and I don't see anything about that service (making crapless restore disc) Is it a on-demand, custom service?

    Thanks

As Karimnacer stated, you need to email portable one requesting the dvds. They will need to know the make and model of your laptop along with any upgrades you may have purchased. Good luck !!
