After the Vaio Z and Vaio SR have now been released i'm sure we can expect some reduced price SZs to be hitting the market.

Has anybody seen any reductions yet?
(I appreciate its still early days)

I wouldnt touch the SZs now that I know the 8400M GS dedicated cards are tainted by nVidia's GPU mess.

It'll die eventually, depending on how much speed/stamina modes you are switching between.

As far as I know, no one has reported any problems yet on the Sony SZ graphics, while these models have been available for over 2-3(?) years. Probably because of Sony's excellent heat management.

I would not mind buying one.

Or it could be due the fact that (for the first part of it's life) the SZ used Nvidia's Geforce Go 7400 which wasn't based on the G86M chipset (it preceded it). @LimitProof brought up another really good point in another thread; a sizable portion of SZ owners probably do take advantage of it's stamina mode, effectively limiting the conditions where the materials (used in the chipset's construction) would be placed under duress.

Yeah even do that is true, there will thousands of people not using the stamina mode, and putting there 8400M under great load.

With Dell 1330 I've seen hundreds maybe thousands of complaints.

    With SZ I've seen none.
