I have CR590 with Windows 7 installed. Recently have updated SFEP, Sony Shared Library, VAIO Event Service and VAIO Power Management to the latest versions from ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com.

    Results:
    1) "Capture" button started to work, it hadn't worked before, therefore all functional buttons work except AV Mode (I haven't installed Instant mode software)

    2) VAIO profiles disappeared from PM settings — but this not a problem, I think I can leave with self configured profiles.

    3) Laptop stopped turning on when opened, can someone help with it? Maybe I need some additional software? I like this feature :).

    Software versions:
    SFEP 8.0.1.1
    Sony Shared Library 5.4
    VAIO Event Service 5.0
    VAIO POWER MANAGEMENT 4.0
PS: most original drivers can be istalled on Windows 7, but you must skip all error messages. Harware drivers should be downloaded from hardware manufactores websites.

    Here is my answer
    2. New Power Profiles in Windows 7 are just Balanced and Power Saving which means VAIO Power Management now supports only 2 modes in Windows 7.

    3. You can go to VAIO Control Center, Power Management and Lid Action Settings to set what you want when ou open the LCD Screen Lid. However, this function only works when your laptop went to sleep or hibernation mode.
