Just something I noticed one day by accident. I know a lot of people say that when comparing the black and the premium they look alike. Here is the subtle detail in the premium lid for all to enjoy. I was pretty amazed the first time I saw it, figured I should share.

Oh and it looks a LOT more impressive in person

If you're talking about the "blue specks" being "uncommon" on the Premium Carbon lid, IMO that is not necessarily be the case. If you look really closely at the regular Black lids, you can also see these "blue specks" on the lid, although they are not as "obvious" as those specks on the Premium Carbon lids.

I was just saying we have all these thread of people trying to figure out whether they want the premium or not, and not a single pic has any mention of the blue specles that are hardly noticible in normal light. Theres a load of em too. I was just showing what gave the premium the shiny gleen it has in certain light sometimes.

I've mentioned the blue shimmer before ... but I agree with SPEED, it is in both lids, but in either you have to see it under the right light to notice it.

The only issues I have with it is that I worry about the potential to be more scratch prone as some have mentioned, and I find it attracts fingerprints easily.

I havent really noticed fingerprints on my lid at all, I grab it by the hinge all the time too. I guess if I REALLY look for them I notice it, but its not along the same lines as a glossy type material.

I can't even tell the difference from that pic.
