I'm about to order the Refurb VPCZ1390x.

I cant seem to find pictures of the premium carbon fiber and black versions of the notebook. Does anyone have them?

And which is more popular? Which do you guys prefer?

I have carbon, it looks nice, I am sure the black would look nice also but I chose carbon because it is more unique

Black if you are affriad of scratches. The PCF is pretty, but it is more scratch prone.

I have the premium carbon fiber lid NOT glossy. I applied the invisible shield which makes it glossy and brings out the color. My pictures will be an embellishment of what you'll see in reality with the matte lid.

Oh just to add, yes, the CF lid is very easy to scratch before I put the cover on it.

The carbon fiber will also attract fingerprints, so you'll have to clean it basically every day to keep it at best condition.

I would go with the Carbon Fiber. It looks really nice and from what i've heard, its pretty durable.

This also might be a little off topic but does anyone know an easier way to search the sony outlet for the vaio z? Its really hard searching through all the results only to not find anything.

there are only two models left in the Sony Outlet.

Just search "VPCZ1290x" or "VPCZ1390x". I've been doing my research and keeping my eye on their website for a few weeks now.

That depends on what you mean by pretty durable. My Z lasted a year before the "premium carbon" lacquer finish was worn through to the black plastic underneath. YMMV.
