I got my Sony Vaio S 15" (actually, my sister got it stateside, waiting for her to bring it over with her) and I am planning to replace the HDD with a SSD.

Other than creating the recovery DVDs before removing the hard drive, and then recovering the new SSD with them, is there any way to replicate the old HDD (recovery partition included) to the new SSD (also considering that the HDD is 640 GB, SSD is 512 GB)

Also, can I order Sony original recovery media kit for this laptop (SVS151190X Performance, Customized) ? what is the part number?
