    Hi guys,
I've been trying to find a way that will not hibernate the S560 laptop when I close the laptop ONLY when I use the "power management off" option. I can't seem to make it work, even when I use the "power management off" option. My current solution is to assign the S1 key to standby, which is neat by the way, but I'm picky. Sometimes I'd like to carry my laptop while it's still on (walk between offices, etc)

My previous vaio laptops can do this. my laptop will go to hibernate when I close its lid when I use other setting of the power management. However, when I use the "power management off" option, it won't go to hibernate when I close the lid.

    Thanks

I have mine set up to do nothing when I close the lid. When I want standby S1 and Hibernate is S2. Goto Display Properties in the Control Panel. Select the Screen Saver Tab and Click on the Power Button. Select the Advanced tab and change the When I close the lid of my portable computer drop down to Do Nothing
