Does anyone have a sense of whether or not Sony will be dropping the price of the S560/S580 with the introduction of the SZ line?

And can anyone remember if Sony dropped prices when Sonoma replaced Dothan? [That the right terminology, right? Don't hit me, I'm a newbie.] If they did, do you know how much they dropped the price?

Am I waiting in vain for a price drop that won't happen or won't happen in any great significance?

    1. They will.

    2. They always did. Sonystyle typically had $100-$200 discount, while the retailer models could get up to $400.

    3. You are not waiting in vain, but the really significant ones are not going to happen till SZ is ready to hit the retail shelves.
