I purchased a Z13 last week through the sony site UK.

I recieved an email today stating that my order had been built and it was being sent to get tested, I then realised that the price has gone down by £200 because they have an offer on for the memory upgrade.

Can I do anything about this as I have not yet received my order?
Do you think I could can receive the discount also?

    Cheers.

Thanks travfar, Do you know the easiest way to do this. ie do they have a dedicated form or is it best to just ring them direct. Thanks.

I would call. I'm in the US though, I don't know how it's done in Europe. Here in the US, we also have the option to refuse delivery after it's been shipped which effectively cancels it.

I'm in Canada. When I was purchasing my Vaio Z I noticed in the terms of service agreement (or whatever) that Sony will price-match; ie. if within 30days of your purchase the price of the machine drops, Sony will refund you the difference, so you can feel safe purchasing without always thinking "oh no they might drop the price tomorrow, so I'll wait".

This might not be the case where you are, and it might not count for that memory-upgrade-dealie you're looking at... but you might want to check whatever purchase agreement there may have been.

I'm exactly in the same siutation, although it's the HDD offer that affected me, same machine £200 cheaper, I called them and tried to get any compensation but they said they can do nothing. When I threatened with cancellation they rudely said "oh yea let's cancel".
£200 is a lot of money but I didn't want to start again and wait for another 3 weeks as I have an important trip that I need the Z during which. So, I swallowed it!

I just ordered a Sony Z13 two weeks ago (US CTO) when the i7 option was $200 instead of the regular $250. Just a few days ago they dropped the i7 option by another $50 as a $150 upgrade. I emailed Sony asking if they could price match and they said no because it was a CTO. Maybe I should just call and try again?
