Am I correct in thinking that prices are rising on Sony Laptop's - I have been looking for one for the past several weeks - most of the Son'ys I was looking at have gone up by $50 to $75. Case in point is a Sony VGN-FW373J - 4 days ago at newegg it was $1250 - now it's $1299. Anyone else seeing this??

No. Seems to be a newegg thing. Use Google Product Search, pricegrabber and nextag to shop pricing as well as amazon.

Techonweb has lower prices than ever on Sony's.

Well, looking at the SZ series, the price actually stayed pretty stable for about 2 years - 2500€, to 2800€ tops once, down to 2500€ for the top model.

And I think other models are the same.

If you see an increase in prices in the US, then this could be currecy related, and related to the change in exchange rates.
