    Folks,

I've only recently noticed, that there is a new so called revolutionalary processor by Intel called Core 2 Duo, and Sony started selling them on sonystyle.com...

What is the key difference between core 2 duo and core duo, can someone explain please?

    Thanks

64 bit vs 32 bit. The Core 2 duo can run 64 bit apps like windows vista 64-bit.

There is also a minor performance gain involved as well (5-10% at equal clock speeds)
