I have a problem with my vaio, since I bought it (may 2006), any plug and play device (printers, mp3 players, external hard drive, USB keys) are recognised by the computer, but are not working, except my own USB and mouse...

Is there a driver I can download to fix this problem??!!

    Thank you!

I have this same problem. I have a VGN FJ170 and the USB ports don't work anymore. It will detect an item but won't install the drivers for it. Its realllllly annoying and I've looked around and have not been able to find a solution.

Have you tried reinstalling the chipset, and any USB drivers that are included on the drivers disc that came with the notebook. I would also suggest installing all the latest updates for Windows.

Mine didn't come with drivers disc, I believe the recovery stuff is already partitioned on the hard drive. Anyway, I can not find the USB drivers or chipsets anywhere.
