I have tried to create my recovery DVD's 3-4 times with no luck on my TZ90N. I keep getting an error message when it gets to the point where it says "Preparing media". It says "The disk could not be created". I have tried two different brands of DVD+R (Sony and HP) and a Sony DVD+R DL.

I have 8.2GB free on my SSD, could that be the issue? The error does not mention a lack of free space, but I was wondering if it could be related.

    I just finally made mine
Yesterday I tried and got message of media error
    I had around 6Gb free
Today I checked and had 10 Gb free
I tried again and was successfull
I think I don't understand why the free space changes for no apparent reason known to me..

That's due to the varying file size of the Restore function. Good trick waiting for maximum available space! :D I'm down to 6GB right now and I have nothing but Vista and apps on it!

I'm pretty sure I followed someone else's lead on that one .Somewhere in these two "error" or "difficulty" threads there was a clue to waiting it out..

Next I am trying to follow the instructions to "delete the partition" previous to "disk cleanup" but I am cautious and I studied what I saw in disk management and now i am thnking about what I saw and whet to do. It is obvious that there is a hidden partition as well , conraing 5.5Gb..
a step at a time ...I'll get it
