Have anyone tried to do a clean install of OS (not using the recover cd) and have trouble installing the drivers? I have the SZ110 series and recently I perform a clean install of windows xp pro w/sp2, but then some of the drivers wouldn't install. Does anyone know why? Thanks.

Like which ones?? If you can be a little more specific, we might be able to figure out.
Look at the clean install instructions on this thread:

thanks for link ronin.achilles. The drivers I have trouble installing are the camera VGP, DVgate Plus Update, modem, intel graphic, and trusted platform module drivers.
-
Go through the driver installation sequence through the link I provided you. If you still have problems, get back and we will figure out.

where do i put the dll file to get the memory stick image back? Thanks.

I'm having problem installing InfineonĀ® Trusted Platform Module, does anyone know why? I follow the step from the link ronin.achilles gave me, but it wouldn't install the Infineon Trusted Platform Module. And also, after i install audo driver, I didn't see the audio icon on the tray bar.

Do you mean the little speaker icon is missing? go into your sound properties in the control panel, and there should be a box to check to enable the tray icon.
what happens when you install the tpm driver? Is the TPM enabled in the BIOS? -
When I install the TPM driver it said "failure to update driver"...How do i enable TPM in BIOS?
-
I look at the sound properties in the control panel, it said no sound audio device, even though I've successful install the audio driver.
-
Audio:
- First Install the Audio Driver (Don't do anything with all those "Hardware Not Found Dialogues" ... leave them alone...they will take care of themselves)
- Once the Audio Driver is Installed, it might ask you to restart... if it does do so.... if it doesn't go to next step...
- Install Modem Driver
- Restart
- Your 'volume' icon will show in system tray
Ideally you don't need to go into Control Panel/Sound settings to bring the icon on, but in case it doesn't show after doing what I have told above, you can get it from there as a workaround.
TPM
- Install TPM driver first (UNDOTH-00984602-US)
- Install TPM package next (UNAOTH-00985803-US)
Should work... -
I don't recall exactly where it is, but once you get into the bios (F2 or Del?), look around for the Trusted Platform Module option. Select the Enable option.
Not sure about the sound driver. I would remove/uninstall anything under the multimedia tab, reboot, and try recovering the driver from the recovery utility. -
I'm still having problem installing TPM...it still said "failure to update the driver" when i tried to install it.
I perform a clean install like again and it still wouldn't work.
I didn't see any TPM option anyway in BIOS -
and oh yeah, my audio still not working...
-
Did you have get the TPM driver to install? I'm having the same problem loading the TPM driver that you had. If you got it to work, I would appreciate any advice. Thanks.
-
you may need the microsoft high definition audio patch.
install this before you install the driver. good luck
-
I still have problem installing TPM driver and the audio still not working (even after that install the patch). And now I experience problem with the wirless..the error message said "no supported wireless adpater.."..
I give up for now..i just did an upgrade to xp pro instead...big thanks to those trying to help me fix the problem.
