I'm trying to start from a Boot CD (that works fine on two other XP-SP2 machines) but my Vio Laptop (PCG-GR390) won't accept the settings.

Upon pressing F2 at startup and going to the BIOS setup, attempting to set up to first check the CD ROM at startup results in an '!' mark in front of CD ROM (whereas the hard Drive has a '+'. Yes, I pressed F10 to save the settings.)

My guess is that the '!' mark is a warning of 'not' possible. What to do? Do I need to update the BIOS (and if so how?) - Thanks,

    Tom
