Problem with CTO options for new Z on SonyStyle Japan

キーボードバックライト can somebody from Japan help me with this word. On SonyStyle japan this is the section on CTO form. Google is giving me some nonsense. I think it is backlit keyboard but I am not sure.

Strange thing is: If you select this キーボードバックライト or Fingerprint sensor & TPM security chip you will get the estimate for delivery, but if you choose both in same time then delivery time is undetermined. One would think if you have estimate date when you chose one or another you should also have date if you chose both.

Am I missing something or SonyStyle Japan have some problems.

 

キーボードバックライト = Keyboard backlight.
Its written in Katagana which is used for "foreign" derived words.

 

And, indeed, "kibodobakkuraito" makes sense if you know that the Japanese will always insert vowels to get "proper" syllables (exception for "n"), and don't distinguish between "r" and "l".
kibodo = keyboard'o
bakkuraito = back'u'light'o

I'm about to place an order with SonyStyle Japan myself (for an S Series), so I looked at the Z you're trying to order. When you order the backlit keyboard with the fingerpring sensor, in place of the estimated delivery date, you get the message, "入荷未定" (nyuuka mitei) which means "arrival of goods is pending." When you click the 入荷未定 button, it gives you further explanation that basically says "Out of stock with no forecast of arrival at the present time." I'm not that familiar with the Z, but it may be that the backlit keyboard with the fingerprint sensor is a very specific part, distinct from either the backlit keyboard by itself (delivery date early April) or the fingerprint sensor on a non-backlit keyboard (delivery date mid March). That mast be it. Seams like fingerprint sensor is somehow part of the keyboard. So basically I need them to restock backlid keyboard with fingerprint sensor .

Sony style is still having problems from all the people trying to order Z
Can you still place the order even if some parts are currently out of stock?

I would imagine you could just try it, and if the order goes through, you'll just be that much more ahead in the line when the backorder is filled.

I placed order over conics net so they need to place the order with sonystyle for me. I was just trying to find out when can I expect to have Z in my hands.

This is my configuration:

- Lid: Premium Carbon
- CPU: Core i7 620M 2.66GHz
- HDD/SSD/Optical Drive: 4x128GB SSD(RAID 0), Blu-Ray-bur
- Keyboard: US English with backlid
- LCD: 1920x1080
- Memory: 2x 4GB (8GB under 64bit OS)
- Security: Fingerprint sensor & TPM
- USB / iLink: 3x USB (2.0)
- Web Camera: 310K Pixel Motion Eye Internal
- WiMAX or WWAN[3G]: gobi 3G/WWAN [not tested], WiFi
- Windows Version: Windows 7 [Pro] English 64bit

Conics said they will wait until sonystyle server is back to normal. I guess some of this components will push me back to the end of April and maybe even beginning of May.

This is the Z stock list on sonystyle Japan but it doesn't show backlid keyboards with fingerprint sensor
