    Hey everybody,
I got a Vaio (VGN-FJ270) is not new, in fact I think I have it since 2004. It uses an Intel Centrino Single processor (I bought it a couple of months before dual processors were available). Well the thing is that I recently bought a Samsung LCD tv/monitor and for the last week I have been trying to used it as an extenal monitor. Once connected the monitor doesn't recognize that there is an external device connected but the laptop recognizes that there is an external monitor but doesn't really recognize it. The thing is that i try using my work laptop a new Dell Precision 4300 and it works without any problems and I didn't had to modify any settings to be able to make it work. Everything work with no problems, so now I'm sure that the problem is not the monitor or the VGA cable that I'm using, I'm pretty sure that it has to do with my Vaio.

Now I don't know if my graphics or video card is not enough for the dual screen to work or if the processor is not enough. Right now I don't know what else to do so that is why I'm asking you guys for some help.

This is the info of my laptop just in case:

    System Model VGN-FJ270
    Processor x86 Family 6 Model 13 Stepping 8 GenuineIntel ~1862 Mhz
Display Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family

    Thanks
