I have the SZ740 It looks like my Nvidia 8400M GS works well both plugged in and on battery.

But i take my laptop to class everyday so i was hoping to get the maximum amount of battery as possible. and want to use my X3100. BUT the problem is that on battery mode, i will get an error message saying something along the lines of "Driver stopped working" and the brightness on the screen is jacked up to 100%! from 50% (which can't possibly save more battery then my nvidia with that kind of brightness)

But when its plugged in its totaly fine. Iam using windows vista 64 bit and iam also using the newested Intel GM965 drivers...

any ideas? I also tried it with the adaptive display setting off... still giving the same problems.
