    Hello Everyone,

I am having an issue with my Vaio FE that I upgraded to Vista. Everytime I close the lid, the computer goes to sleep, even though every box I checked in the advanced power options for Vaio Optimized is checked to "do nothing". Is anyone else having this problem, or suggest fixing it? I have installed all of the sony utilities for Vista.

    Thank you!

I have the same problem on my FE21M

Although to start with it would not even come out of sleep when selected from the start menu, but I flashed the latest BIOs and reinstalled Vista last night and that seems to work now.

But like you shutting the lid it turns off the LCD and it wont come back on when opened. The laptop still seems alive.

I guess we wait for another BIOs or fix

It must be exactly the same problem. It is annoying because I have to force it to sleep before I even close the lid, and can't run any processes (defrag) without leaving the lid open...
