    Hi,

I have problems with the battery of my new Vaio Z21. The first charging cycle over night, it just got about 60% of its capacity. Then I discharged the battery, and now in the second charging cycle, it gets 62% but it is not charging anymore, even if the Icon in the Taskbar is just telling me, that it is charging... If I detach the plug from the power supply, it still shows 62%, but no lifetime in hours.

Anyone have an idea, what's the problem here? The battery saving function is disabled...

    Thanks!
    Christian

edit: It's now running about 30 minutes on battery and it's still showing me 62% without a lifetime...

That's strange. I never had that problem.

I recommend that you disconnect from ac power and remove the internal battery. Leave the battery off for at least 5 minutes. Then install the battery, boot up the system, and hook it up to ac power. See if that helps.

yepp, I'm using the factory installed windows.

I'm going to remove the battery for some minutes and see if that helps

    Thanks for your help!
