    Hi guys, how are you?

I formatted my sony win7 and reinstalled, but some functions were left without command, such as WEB keys that accesses the Web without booting OS, and the second function keys.

How do I get? for even installing the drivers from sony's website, they do not come back.

The model is this here VGN-NW210AE

use the factory restore? Why would you reformat and reinstall? If you did clean install you are going to need to download and install all 30+ sony drivers/apps from the sony website. I am not sure you will get the instant-on os though...you will probably need to restore to get that.

    30? Uhm no, 4 maybe.

For the function keys, all available online:

    Sony Firmware Extension Parser
    Sony Shared Library
    VAIO Event Service
    Setting Utility Series

    For the WEB button:
Quick Web Access. Not available from the website, you'll have to get it off the restore discs - hope you created them before you reinstalled!

you need to order recovery discs if you did not make them already. That software is not free, which is why it is not posted on the sony site.

The web key is tied to something called "SplashTop Instant On OS". You'll find a way to restore it's functionality from my Vaio CW Windows 7 clean install thread. It's at the end of my first post. HERE

I did an recovery disk before format.
If I use it, will I lose my partition and my files on drives C: and D: ???

Nope, SplashTop installs inside your boot partition c:. You won't even know it's there because the folders are hidden at the root of c:. Oh, and this version I have posted is actually from an NW but it works on the CW also.

But isnt there any problem with the diference of disk space between drives C and D??? I ask that, because the recovery disck was made in a diferent configuration of disk space (in that case, was only the drive C with full space avaliable, and now, drive C has only 80 Gb)
