This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Problem with Z series and external monitors

    I need help as this is driving me crazy.

    When I connect my external monitor to the VGA port it recognises it and then sends the laptop in to a spin as it continually changes resolutions, swithced external monitor on and off, this can go on for over 5 mins at a time.

    Have tried Fn + F7, but this has not helped, have tried adjusting setting etc in control panel and with Nvidia control panel, will work for a short period then off it goes again.

    Has anyone else had this problem and how did you fix it.
