Hi all I am having a problem with the brightness changing when I unplug my laptop. I have it set so that when it is plugged in it is at full brightness and when I unplug it it goes to 20% but it will not change. Any help is appreciated.

Do you have auto brightness sensor? If so, turn it off.

    What Vaio do you have?

Check your brightness level in the Windows Mobility Centre or under Energy options - however you should still be able to change it under batter.

If only your Fn key stopped working it may be an issue with the Sony Event Manager/the Shared libraries.

The model is PCG 384L. When I do Fn F5 or F6 a little box that says brightness appears but I cannot control the brightness. When I look in Power Options it says that the display brightness will be at zero when I unplug it, but when I do the brightness does not change. Where can I check for the auto brightness sensor?
