Since the couple of updates this week my display is very dark when on battery. I checked all the power settings and all the brightness levels are at 100%.. I also checked the Vaio Center and nvidia panels but they're all correctly set. When i plug the power cable in it goes back to normal. Even when i switch from Stamina to Speed it stays dimmed.

Any ideas? I must be missing something but i can't think of any... It was fine before the update.

Do you have automatic brightness enabled? Maybe the most recent update will keep your screen dimmer when on battery.

If you disable auto brightness and use the function keys to crank up the brightness, does it get bright?

Yea i had auto brightness on initially but even when disabled it didn't fix the problem.

and if i click +brightness it's already at max so it stays the same
