i'm just wondering why my z's memory usage never go back down, it starts with 800mb, when i watch movie, surf the web, use software like photoshop, winrar... it goes up to 1.6 or 1.7gb and it stays the same even when i close them all, i did the same thing on my dad's toshiba and it went back to 800mb after closing all the program, both have 3gb memory ddr3

what am i experiencing here, guys??? i'm always on high memory usage even when i'm not using it. :(

my wild guess, the culprit is those IDM (unless you are running IDM too in your father laptop and doesnt have the problem , i cant figure out then).

anyway, try to log off and login back. if possible, mind to post a screenshot of your task manager? prolly the one with highest memory usage (at Processes tab, tick all processes from all user too) . :)

thanks for the answer, that's the problem, i did exact samthing on my dad's laptop and nothing like this happens, i tried installing win 7 but doesnt fix the problem, this might have something to do with the memory of the laptop, i just can't figure out
