My wife accidentally dropped the laptop, and it hasn't worked since. I removed the HD and bought a $40 external hard drive enclosure from Best Buy to back up the entire HD. So now I erased the HD and its empty. Supposed to be 60gb but only has like 50.7gb on it. Anyways after completely taking it apart. I cant get it turn on anymore. When it first broke it would still turn on, but now nothing. The green and yellow lights just blink when I plug it in to the wall, and push and hold the power button. The screen is cracked so I removed it, I tried hooking it up to a regular desktop monitor, and still get nothing on the screen. The laptop battery works and it charges. It just doesn't turn on. Any ideas? I hate to throw this thing in the garbage.

Reseat the RAM and/or processor, but the motherboard could well be damaged too.

How do you reset the Ram and Processor? I hit the reset button on the bottom it did nothing. I already backed up the HD and erased it all. It charges just doesn't turn on. The fan does nothing. The green light comes on sometimes and the yellow charging light flashes but thats it. I think its a goner.

I have no clue about computers. Your gonna have to put it in lamens terms. What is reseat the ram? Whats the ram look like. I think I fried the motherboard the other day, I took it out of the computer and touched it to the battery and something sparked and melted. I'm about to throw this pos in the trash.

Well I took the 3 things out of the bottom of the computer and put them back in. It did nothing. I only get a yellow light to blink now when I have the battery in and it plugged in. Other than that I get no lights at all now.
