I just received a FZ290 from Sony that I will be sending to a friend in Canada. Before I do so I would like to test it out. I've already checked the USB ports, DVD Drive, Memory card reader, sound and the screen for problems. Is there anything in particular that I should look for?

Check the battery performance. The typical battery should last around 2 hours and 30 mins in a balanced performance (although sony states it should last 5 hours in low performance... right...)

I will definitely check the battery, thanks centaurius.

Yes, he can update all the drivers himself when needed.

I also updated the RAM, and tested with Memtest - no errors. Anything else guys?
