    Hi there,

I'm travelling right now and had a major problem with my laptop the other day. I had to reinstall windows to get it all working again (or atleast that was the only solution in my limited computer capacity!) I've done all that, with no worries except the modem/soundcard. I've downloaded all the drivers for this unit off of Sony's tech support site and installed. The only remining are the sound and modem. The device manager shows a "PCI DEVICE" not installed correctly in "OTHER DEVICES" I assume this is the sound card? No driver or install will seem to get it to to go. Any ideas? as this was a reinstall or repair I was thinking maybe I should try to format completely and install XP. Unfortunately I do not have a restore disc, as I am on the road.

    Any help is appreciated

Did you install the drivers/software in order like Sony said on their website.

That happen to me when I install stuff randomly on my T150

I found the sony site showing the driver order after and agree that is probably the issue. Is it possible to just uninstall the hardware and reinstall in the correct order, or do i need to format and reinstall?

    thanks in advance

Ok I've reinstalled windows twice now. Found the Sony recommended install order for everything and the same problem happens. I know that my chipset is an Intel i915PM if that helps?
