Hi my laptop,VGN-Z720D/B, can't switch to speed mode without restarting computer, which means I need to switch mode by turning off or restarting the laptop, I updated the BIOS and graphic drivers and reinstalled the whole OS by using recovery disc, it still doesn't work. Is it possible the hardware problem? or is there anything I need to set up? I googled, but still no answer, thanks for help

Err, I thought that is how it is suppose to work on the older model vaio... If you have the Z11 series vaio, then you can switch without restart, but I think the Z7 series you have requires a restart. I may be wrong....

Hi it's working before I reinstalled the whole new OS(Win7), now I am using Win XP which is the factory setting, but it doesn't work now, I don't know what's going on.
