I recently purcahsed the sz670n laptop, and have a problem with it and am wondering if anyone on the board has an answer.

It is the processor that is supposed to be installed in the laptop, under right clicking the my computer i get a Intel t7700 2.4 processor installed, but under device manager it shows as the t7500 2.2 ghz. My buddy has a t7500 and i compared his t7500 driver with the one installed in my laptop and it comes up with the same driver.

also, i d/l cpuz as well just to verify i didn't get a t7500 instead of the t7700, and the Cpuz, it show it as the t7700 running at 2.4?

Why is there a difference in windows, device manager and cpuz, does anyone have this same problem with the 670n/c.

    Please help me out .

I have the same problem with my FZ. The device manager lists the processor as T7300 instead of T7100. But who cares about that?

This issue is possibly beacause of sony. They just image the same software among multiple pc's. And the registry entry for cpu under device manager hadn't been updated properly.

Thanks cool guy, before you posted i found out that it is sony, not the processor. So i got what i paid for thats all that matters, it says its a t7500 but in all actuality its a t7700 :D lol the .2 ghz doesn't do me any good but knowing that its in there is still enough for me.

    Thanks for the reply

That is an issue with the master image for those machines; P1 sells really nice images for those machines which really make a huge performance difference and fix various issues like such. But for the quickest solution, go into device manager and uninstall both CPU's from device manager and let machine re-boot; the OS should be able to re-ID them correctly upon restarting/reinstalling.

Can I uninstall the driver for the CPU for the device manager?

Yes you can. I had the same issue. I'm running the T5600 but the system said I was running the T7200. I unintalled both CPUs in Device Manager, restarted my system and the correct CPU appeared.

This had no effect on my system.
