    Hello,

I noticed, that the original NVidia graphics drivers do not work with Sony notebooks. So, does Sony offer new versions of their drivers on a regulary basis? Or is it somehow possible to use original NVidia drivers?

    Regards,

Actually, I'm glad you started this thread. If you go to NVIDIA's site and try to download the drivers for your card, you'll see once you try to install them, they won't work for Sony Notebooks, because they have a Sony specific hardware ID. So recently, the laptopvideo2go drivers have gained support for the Sony G210m and several other newer Sony notebook graphic cards... All you have to do is go *64-bit* or *32-bit* and download the drivers and the modded .inf file *32-bit* or *64-bit*. The page I linked to is for driver version 260.52 for Windows 7 64/32-bit. From the stock Sony drivers I can tell a big difference in some games, like Crysis or Bioshock. I highly recommend them over stock!

1.)Once both are downloaded, go to your desktop and create a new folder and name it "NVIDIA".

2.) Go to your downloads window and launch the 7zip extractor for the driver download, and when it asks you where you want to unzip to, point it to the folder you just made on the desktop called NVIDIA.

3.)Once the files are extracted, find the .inf file you downloaded, and drag it into the NVIDIA folder on the desktop, overwriting the file that's already in the folder.

4.) Open the NVIDIA folder on your desktop, and launch the setup.exe. Now during the driver setup the installer will ask you if your are sure you want to install this driver software so make sure to click yes. Then your screen might go black momentarily, but don't mess with it, it's still working, and it'll come back and say that driver installation has finished. Now reboot for good measure, and enjoy!

Laptopvideo2go is the best method for updating your graphics drivers.

And it is not that hard to modify the original Nvidia driver inf to make it install in your Vaio. Refer to my guide for details.
