I'm used to having my non-work computers just boot into Windows desktop without any security.

I suppose it's cool that you can login with your finger instead of having to type your password, but do I really need this type of security in the first place?

I would say "it's up to you."

I never stuck log-on IDs onto my home-use computers either --- but use the finger swipe with my SZ.. also having set up a guest account for, well, guests. It seems like a good idea, in principle ---- more so if you plan on having personal information stored on your machine.

Let me revise: I would say: "Why not?"

The password storage feature for web-browsing is pretty useful. Also fun to see what your fingerprint looks like. Instant icebreaker!
