A few weeks ago I posted here complaining about high CPU usage while I was connected to a wireless LAN. I never did get the problem resolved. (Note: I have a TXN 15 P/B with Windows XP and I updated to the latest wireless drivers on the Sony support website.)

Today, tired of the annoying Protector Suite stuff appearing everytime I booted the computer, I went into Windows Add/Remove Programs and uninstalled it.

And after I rebooted... my CPU usage dropped down to where it should be!

Was Protector Suite behaving badly with the WLAN? Or is this just a coincidence?
