I ordered straight through Sony.com and talked to the chatroom rep into giving me 15% off! It was very straight forward and easy. I told them the z12 is out in a few weeks but I will buy right now if you give me 15% off. In a few mins she had it approved.... makes me think I should have asked for more!

    I got:

    i5 540m
    4gig RAM
    256SSD
    Fresh Install
    Carbon Fiber! oh yesss :D

Total was $2039.99 and they included free shipping.

I also ordered the neoprene case as well.

First thing i'm going to do is disable wake times! any other suggestions?

    Cheers,

    David

People have posted their laptop wakes up sometimes when its in its case or w/ the screen down and when they open it its burning hot and the screen turns black. This prevents the laptop from turning on.

Burning hot doesn't sound so good... My SZ was getting very hot before I get a video isue. How is it possible that a company such as Sony didn't predict this? There must be some kind of solution in their site.

Sony makes money on selling notebooks, not on supporting them.
Fixes tend to be found in newer refreshes of the model.

Well it could be that a button accidentally gets pushed when the case is closed  and that causes the computer to start up... yea I really dont know how they could over look starting up while the screen is closed but go figure... In any case i'm going to disable "allow wake timers" and that should end that problem.
