On the sony store (in Canada), if you customize a 15.5" VAIO S and select the 2GB GeForce 640M LE, you are offered the possibility to opt for a 2x128GB SSD RAID-0 configuration.

My question is : Where is the second hard-drive located in the notebook ? My first thought was that it would replace the optical drive, but it doesnt (you can still choose a DVD/BD drive with the RAID-0 config).

Is Sony using a pair of super-slim proprietary SSD drive and stack them were you would normally put one HDD ?

I'd love to know if I could buy a single (cheap) HDD config, then add a SSD while still keeping the DVD drive.
