I have upgraded the RAM of my laptop from 1GB (2x512 ) to 2.5GB (512MB+2GB). The laptop runs with no problems after the upgrade.
When I used the CPUz program, it showed that the current memory clock speed is 266MHz and the max supported is 333MHz.

    My question is the following:

Is there anything I can do to make the RAMs run at a faster clock speed?

Please note that the memory that I purchased is a PC5300 2GB (677 GHz) and the preinstalled 512MB is also a PC5300 RAM.
