    Hi,
I read some user reviews about new VAIO S 15.5 talking about how fan is load and speaker is bad.
    Is that true?

The speakers are like most laptop speakers which puts them between mediocre and bad, depending on what your expectations are.
Headphones or external speakers fix that right up.

The fan is quiet when browsing, writing, photoshop, general use. It gets fairly loud if you use the ATI card for gaming. If you are switched to stamina mode, you can barely hear it.

But you see at that price range they should be good, Sony hasn't particularly been focused on bringing good speakers. However what gets me is that ultra books have better speakers than the Sony's entire laptop range, notable examples being the macbook air and the asus zenbook which both have loud and full sounding speakers. It's a real shame Sony hasn't put any effort in this department.

The fan should be silent unless you are gaming or doing any other CPU intensive tasks such as Video Editing or encoding.

There is also something to do with the audio settings and dolby that improves the quality. Without it disabled, the speakers sound like a cell phone.

I made the mistake of saying ATI card, you were talking about the S15 which is using Nvidia. Not sure if the fan will be quieter or louder but you should check out the owners thread to get an opinion.

I was commenting on the Sony SE which is the previous model of the S15.

So has the speaker volume and quality improved with newer S15 ?
Because they advertise "Dolby" and all stuff.

It's not always the case, my HP G62 advertises altec lansing speaker which I think are the worst speakers I've come across, it works both ways.
Yes there is indeed a setting which makes the sound better, you have to enable the Dolby profile in control panel somewhere. The nvidia 640M LE is a kepler based chip and is more efficient than the older ATI used so the whole system should run cooler hence quieter unless you are stressing the system.
