This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Hi,

    I bought FZ38M sony laptop few days ago and was late to notice that many of the Sony vaio laptop users (with 8400M GT GPU) are suffering from GPU failure. However, I havent seen any FZ38M users post that they are suffering from the same problem.

    My question is to FZ38M users, if they have experienced GPU failure problem so far.

    Another question: Is Sony totally replacing the 8400M GPU in the affected laptops or merely replacing the old motherboard with a new one having the same 8400 GPU?
