Hi! I'm soon going to get my (next week) SR and I understood that I'll be eligible for free Windows 7 Upgrade kit.

The question is what product model do you have? (asking from SR CTO users.) In upgrade site there's no VGN-SR490CTO listed there. So it makes me curious about it. :)

I saw someone post that it had not been decided if CTO buyers would get that upgrade. You may be out of luck depending on their decision. It has never been mentioned on their CTO site, at least in America.

Thanks. I wish if they would. Last time when I contacted Customer Support they said that I should choose VGN-SR490 with no "CTO" behind the model name. Looks like that was past.

The label on my SR-490CTO just says "Vaio SR" When I went to get drivers for it on the esupport.sony.com website, I chose "SR-490J" because they are 64-bit and work with my Windows 7 x64 RC installation. Among the paperwork with my computer was a leaflet on the Windows 7 upgrade, which I am to fill out later and submit (along with my invoice sales date) and upon confirmation Sony will send you an OEM packet with the install discs. So, you should be good to go to get your CTO.
