I just purchased an FZ150E/BC from Costco. Specs are as follows:
Processor - T7300 (2GHz)
Ram - 2GB
HDD - 160 GB at 5,400 RPM
Graphics - Intel GMA 950 with 128MB RAM
My question is regarding the graphics. At the store the listing said X3100 graphics, however, the box says Graphics Media Accelerator 950. Isn't that the prior graphics chip? I did a seach on line and found a document on the Sony site which indicated this exact model has X3100 with 358MB of memory. Does anyone know which is correct and how I can check the video card? I haven't opened the box yet.
THanks
Mike

I am assuming Vista is installed because you said you just bought it and most of the computers now-a-days are all Vista. There are many ways to check...
I would try go to your device manager (right click my computer - properties - device manager) and then under the display adapters it will list what kind of graphics card you have on your computer. -
i dont think i can answer your question but what store did you go to that has the new sony in stock? how much did you pay?

Thanks for the reply. I bought it in East Hanover, NJ store. Price was $1400.

Yes. The computer has Vista Home Premium edition.

I bought this same FZ150e at Costco last week. The device manager says it is Mobile Intel(R) 965 Express Chipset Family.
I wonder if it is a model special to Costco and it uses a "light" version. How different are these graphic adapters?

it cant have the gma 950 if its santa rosa. just cant...

Then there are only two possibilities: device manager panel is incorrect, because I just copied and pasted what it said, or this FZ150E from Costco is not based on the Santa Rosa. I am getting a bit worried now and would like to find out more.
