I would like to order today because I'm not sure how long the discount on the processor and hard drive will last. I finally narrowed my search to one...the Sony FZ290. Actually, I have two quick questions. Does anyone know how the finish holds up on the FZ? Also, I seen in this forum where people have ordered from Sony and before the unit shipped cancelled their order because of a delay in shipment or a better deal becoming available. Is this something Sony allows without question? Do they charge you credit card when ordered or when shipped? Sorry, I think that was three questions.

I don't know about the finish. I just got off the phone with them so I can answer the last question...it takes about 5 days for them to build it and they charge your credit card when the unit is shipped. I'm sure if there is going to be an unusally long delay in your order they will cancel no questions asked...that's only good business and every other major corp seems to do it.

After 5 months of use, Finish of my FZ is holding up very well (aside from keytops becoming greasy, hehe). I have a black FZ.
