After reading through the forums and websites I keep getting mixed messages about the 2 year accidental warranty. I plan on buying it from Provantage, http://www.provantage.com/sony-vgp2sylpad~7SOVA08V.htm

Some people say the warranty starts on DAY 1 of your VAIO notebook purchase.

Other people say it starts the day your 1 year warranty expires. Which one is it?

Most warranties start as soon as you purchase the product.

    Specifically in your case,

Thanks guys! Do you think I should invest in a 3 year warranty instead then?

I'm 19 so I usually get rejected for Credit Cards with high limits because I don't have much of a credit history.

    Thanks again though!
