Hi Folks,
I searched the threads and could not find any helpful information regarding the issue I am looking for, so opening this thread.
I bought Sony Vaio VGN-TZ390 series laptop Brand New (windows Vista Business 32bit) from Tiger Direct in Sept 2009. At that time Product description mentioned that I am eligible for Windows 7 Upgrade.
Before purchasing, I checked the Sony Windows 7 upgrade system to verify I am eligible or not. For my model, it said please check back later on Oct 22 2009.
I waited until Windows 7 release with the hope of they update the website and I can apply for free upgrade. As soon as Windows 7 is released I tried to check my model eligibility again. To my shock, website posted that my laptop is not eligible for Windows 7 Upgrade.
I tried to check Tiger direct website for product description and it is no longer available since it is clearance item. The laptop is brand new and has 1 year warranty.
What are my options to get Windows 7 upgrade CD for my laptop from Sony?
Do I need to contact Tiger Direct or Sony in this regard? Please advise.
Thanks in advance.
